Two systems replaced
Two complete systems replaced in Chino Hills. Both installed, commissioned and running normally.
A unit we installed ten years ago, still running
Back at a long-time customer's home for a Nest thermostat problem, we came across the system we installed for them. The manufacture date on the unit: April 2016. Ten years on, it's still running reliably.
5-ton heating and cooling replacement
5-ton heating and cooling replacement in Irvine. This homeowner came to us through a neighbor we had already worked for. A referral from a past customer is the best proof that the workmanship and attention to detail hold up.
Four systems replaced in one home
Four heating and cooling systems replaced in one large Walnut home. For a house like this, the equipment brand matters less than the quality of the installation, the standard of the work, and the support afterward.
Midea Atom-X VRF heat pump
Getting hands-on with Midea's Atom-X VRF heat pump. Equipment keeps changing, and keeping up with it is part of the job.
Replacement while the owner was away
The owner was away and trusted us with the house. The old unit was very old, badly rusted, and had been sitting in water. We filmed the whole job and sent it to the owner, then cleaned up before leaving.
Heating and cooling replacement
Heating and cooling system replacement in Pomona.
Dog urine corroded the coil fins until it leaked
Over time, a dog urinating on the outdoor unit corroded the coil fins until the system leaked. The owner had no idea it could do that. We replaced the coil.
AC installed 2 years ago — after a new electrical panel, the tenant said no cooling. The electrician blamed the AC. We pulled out thermal imaging and found the real issue immediately. No guessing, no assumptions.
Compressor replacement, filmed for the homeowner
A complete recording of the installation process, sent to the homeowner so they can clearly understand the work that was done.
2,400 sq ft home with a poorly designed 5-zone duct system — every zone was uncomfortable and couldn't cool down even after running all day. We redesigned the ductwork and installed a new AC system. The homeowner felt the difference immediately.
Commercial AC maintenance for a bank in Monterey Park. Licensed and insured for commercial work.
Brand new AC and air filtration system for a preschool — fresh air, comfortable temperatures, and a healthier environment for the kids.
5-ton heating and cooling system replacement. No matter the season or weather, the system we install will keep your home comfortable year-round.
Central AC deep cleaning — restoring performance and improving air quality.
3-ton heating and cooling replacement
3-ton heating and cooling replacement in La Puente. The evaporator we removed was very old and completely clogged with dust inside. No matter how long the system ran, it couldn't cool.
4-ton AC replacement
4-ton AC replacement in West Covina. Behind the closet door was one of the strangest furnace installs we've seen: the furnace propped up on pieces of wood, hollow underneath.
4-ton heating and cooling replacement
4-ton heating and cooling replacement in Mission Viejo.
4-ton heating and cooling replacement
4-ton heating and cooling replacement in Yorba Linda. The old outdoor unit had plants growing through it.
New-build AC that kept tripping the breaker
A new home in Irvine's Great Park whose AC kept tripping. The day before, the company that installed the system added a hard-start kit. It lowered the start-up current, but the breaker tripped again ten minutes after they left. With a thermal camera we found the fault was the breaker itself: one point in the panel was running over 100°F while the AC drew a normal 12 amps. We replaced it and re-terminated the wiring. After ten minutes of running, that spot read about 91°F, the same as the rest of the panel.
Compressor oil leaking through the whole unit
This unit was leaking oil everywhere: down to the base and all through the inside. There's no repairing a leak like this; the system has to be replaced.
Leaking evaporator coil replaced
Leaking evaporator coil replaced in Walnut.
UV dye and electronic leak detection
Finding a refrigerant leak quickly with UV dye and an electronic leak detector.
4-ton heating and cooling replacement
4-ton heating and cooling replacement in Diamond Bar.
4-ton system with air purification
The family has allergies and wanted cleaner air along with the new system. We replaced the 4-ton heating and cooling system in Riverside and added an air purifier that uses UV light and ionization.
5-ton heating and cooling in Snow Creek
5-ton heating and cooling replacement in Walnut's Snow Creek neighborhood.
3-ton heating and cooling
3-ton system replacement in Walnut. With the old equipment out, the evaporator turned out to be about half blocked, which is why the airflow was so weak: a reminder of what a neglected filter does. We replaced the electrical disconnect and the pad as well.
Leaking evaporator replaced the next day
We found the leaking evaporator on day one, got a new one ordered as fast as possible, and replaced it on day two.
An evaporator leak you can hear
With the unit opened up, the evaporator leak was loud enough to hear. It was too far gone to repair and had to be replaced.
5-ton inverter AC, high-efficiency furnace and new ducts
A complete job in one project: a 5-ton inverter AC, a 95 percent high-efficiency furnace, new ductwork and duct cleaning.
Carrier blower motor seized
A Carrier system whose blower motor had seized.
5-ton system replacement
5-ton system replacement in Chino Hills as the summer heat arrived. Same crew and the same installation standard on every job.
Two Lennox central systems replaced
Two central AC systems replaced with Lennox in San Marino, plus newly installed attic ventilation to keep the attic cooler, so the AC runs less and uses less power.
Rental home: evaporator clogged solid
A rental home in Montclair where the filter was never changed. The evaporator clogged up until, even running all day, the house got warmer instead of cooler. To keep the cost down we kept the furnace and replaced the cooling side with a 3-ton system, then showed the tenant how to change the filter.
No airflow upstairs: a completely blocked coil
The tenant had run the AC all night and still couldn't sleep: no air was reaching the upstairs rooms. The outdoor unit was fine and the air was cold, which pointed to a blocked evaporator, and we told the owner so before opening anything. With the coil out, it was blocked solid on every side. A filter that costs a few dollars prevents this.
Lennox 5-ton heating and cooling system
New 5-ton Lennox heating and cooling system installed in Irvine.
4-ton heating and cooling system
4-ton heating and cooling system replacement in Irvine.
4-ton AC replacement
4-ton AC replacement in Ontario.
Four systems picked up in one day
Equipment for four installs collected in a single day: Lennox R-454B systems in the morning and AC Pro R-410A systems in the afternoon.
A 61-year-old house gets its first air conditioning
This home's attic had heating but no cooling. Over two days we installed a complete heating and cooling system from nothing: all new ductwork, new copper lines run through to the outside, and a pad for the outdoor unit. The hardest part was a small attic opening that everything had to pass through.
A unit on a second-story roof
The unit sits on the roof in an awkward spot. Getting to it means climbing to the second-story roof and keeping your balance.
5-ton heating and cooling replacement
5-ton heating and cooling replacement in La Cañada. Licensed, insured, and installed to code.
5-ton AC system replacement
A rental property where the furnace was still in good shape, so we replaced only the cooling system: a 5-ton AC.
4-ton heating and cooling system
4-ton heating and cooling system replacement in Walnut.
Replacing old ductwork in a cramped attic
New ductwork improves efficiency and, more importantly, the air you breathe. The attic here was so low that the only way to work was lying down in decades of dust, with half the body balanced on a beam a hand wide.
Old ductwork that turned out to be asbestos
Removing an old system, we found ductwork that looks like cardboard. It's asbestos, a Class 1 carcinogen found in many older homes. We brought in a licensed third-party asbestos removal company to take it out. If an ordinary crew tore it out, the fibers would settle through the attic, the walls and the new ducts, and the damage to the lungs is permanent.
5-ton AC system replacement
Replacing a 20-plus-year-old R-22 system in Hacienda Heights. The old evaporator had leaked at the bottom and sat in water until its brazed joints corroded. There was no drain pan before, which risks water damage, so we added a pan and an overflow safety switch.
Renovation dust destroyed the blower motor
The AC was run throughout a renovation with no filter in place. Sanding dust, dog hair and even plastic bags were pulled in until the blower motor was so far out of balance that it broke. We cleaned the system out for the owner. If you're renovating, keep a filter in or keep the system off.
A kinked copper line hidden in the wall
Before installing a new system we always check the copper lines. Here the line was badly kinked inside the wall, squeezed to a fraction of its width, so refrigerant couldn't flow back to the compressor. A new system on that line would have cooled poorly and failed early. We opened the wall and replaced it.
The "AC leak" that was a hot water pipe
The customer thought the AC was leaking through the ceiling and had stopped using it, but the dripping continued. In the attic the evaporator and drain line were dry. A thermal camera showed a warm patch, 77 degrees against 73 on the rest of the wall: a leaking hot water pipe.
5-ton system through an attic full of beams
The attic had so many cross-beams that the equipment looked impossible to get in. The crew worked it through like a sliding puzzle and finished a job planned for two days in one. The install included an air purification system with a UV lamp and ionizer.
Eight-year-old home: leaking coil and outdoor unit replaced
This Irvine home is only eight years old, but the evaporator coil leaked last year and the outdoor unit started leaking this year, so we replaced both. The old equipment was Carrier. The brand isn't really the issue; any make can develop a leak. The attic was very tight to work in. New coil installed, ductwork reconnected, system running normally.
Furnace and coil in a near-impossible attic
One of the hardest install locations we've had. The indoor unit sat in the attic with almost no clearance around it. Once the old evaporator was out you could see oil across the whole drain pan, the sign of a refrigerant leak. Nine hours of work to get the new equipment in and connected. Everything is running normally.
Bryant furnace with a shattered blower wheel
A Bryant furnace whose blower wheel blades were smashed and badly deformed. It's the second time we've seen this failure this year.
3-ton cooling replacement on a rooftop
Replacing the cooling side of a 3-ton system on a Walnut rooftop, in full sun.
Carrier blower wheel shattered at the motor
A Carrier blower making a huge noise. Inside, the wheel had shattered and broken at the motor, which is very rare; our best guess is metal fatigue. We fitted a new motor, blower wheel and capacitor.
Outdoor unit wiring fire
The wiring at the outdoor unit's electrical box caught fire, and the fire department came out. The homeowner waited a week for us to replace it.
3-ton heating and cooling replacement
3-ton heating and cooling replacement in Eastvale, done on a Sunday so the customer didn't have to keep waiting in the heat.
Inside a rental's evaporator: dust and mold
A rental where the filter had been ignored or removed altogether. The evaporator was packed with dust and mold, some of it stuck on so long a vacuum couldn't lift it. All the air in the home passes through this.
Evaporator coil replacement
Evaporator coil replacement in Irvine.
Two AC systems replaced
Two AC systems replaced in Eastvale. This one follows the crew through the install: the old system coming out, the new equipment arriving, and the care they take over the details on every job.
A clogged outdoor coil
The outdoor coil was clogged all the way around. That raises compressor pressure, uses more energy and cuts cooling. Water alone didn't clear it, so we used a coil cleaner made for the job.
Lennox full system with air filtration
Complete Lennox system plus a whole-home air filtration system, installed in Chino Hills.
Outdoor unit wiring caught fire
A neglected rental: the filter was thicker than a blanket, the outdoor unit ran nonstop in the heat, and its wiring caught fire. The fire department came, and fortunately the house didn't burn. We replaced the AC.
Full Lennox system with a Nest thermostat
Complete Lennox system replacement, with a Nest thermostat included.
Duct cleaning: two homes in one day
Duct cleaning on a 4,800 sq ft home in Yorba Linda in the morning and a 2,000 sq ft home in Chino Hills in the afternoon. Dust and debris build up in ductwork over time and affect the air you breathe.
Air purification, attic ventilation and two-zone control
An indoor air quality install: an air purification system using ionization and UV light, a 5-inch media filter, an attic fan that switches on automatically when the attic overheats and is controlled from a phone, and two-zone control for upstairs and downstairs.
Two 4-ton AC units replaced
Two 4-ton AC units replaced in La Cañada in one day.
Two systems replaced in one day
Two heating and cooling systems replaced in Chino Hills, completed by the crew in a single day.
4-ton heating and cooling replacement
4-ton heating and cooling replacement in Irvine. The old furnace and evaporator came out and new ones went in. The old evaporator was badly corroded.
AC system replacement
AC system replacement in Chino Hills.
Outdoor coil eaten away by dog urine
We often see outdoor units corroded by dog urine, but rarely this badly: the coil looked like a skeleton. The urea and ammonia attack the metal over time. It can't be repaired; the unit has to be replaced.
Commercial maintenance before summer
Maintenance on six commercial units ahead of summer, including cleaning the indoor coils.
Three gas leaks in a ten-year-old home
The owner bought this home new and, ten years on, called us for a first maintenance check. Opening the attic hatch, we smelled gas. Leak-detection solution on every joint found three leaks. With the fittings apart, there was no sealant on them at all, left that way since installation. If you're worried about your own furnace, the gas company will check for leaks free of charge.
Full system and ductwork replacement
A neighbor's relative in Arcadia: a 45-year-old furnace and ducts replaced with a full new system and ductwork. Floors and walls were covered throughout to keep the home clean.
Outdoor unit washed with coil cleaner
Outdoor coil cleaned in two passes with coil cleaner, mixed 1 to 3 and then 1 to 6. A clean coil cools better, keeps the compressor from overheating, uses less power and runs quieter.
A strange hole that emptied the refrigerant
A rental where all the refrigerant had leaked out through a hole in the line. Under nitrogen pressure the leak was obvious. It didn't look like a wire had rubbed through, and tenant damage was ruled out.
A 1987 Bryant furnace kept running
A 1987 Bryant high-efficiency furnace with a failed inducer motor. Parts for a unit this old are hard to find, but we tracked down an original. It's a rental and the owner wanted to save money, so we repaired it.
Two Lennox rooftop systems replaced
A Yorba Linda home with five central AC systems. The two serving the second floor were the oldest, noisiest and most used, so we replaced those first with Lennox.
Duct cleaning in Rancho Palos Verdes
Duct cleaning in Rancho Palos Verdes. Ducts that go years without cleaning collect dust and bacteria that blow into the rooms every time the system runs.
Warranty claim that returned $3,152.98
A Carrier furnace repair where we replaced the faulty part and filed the warranty claim for the customer. The refund: $3,152.98.
Worn-out ductwork replaced
The old ducts were dirty and full of holes. We replaced them with new insulated ductwork, with the home's walls and floors covered and the crew in full protective suits and respirators.
Furnace flue sealed off since the house was built
The tenant said the heater did nothing when switched on. In the attic we found the furnace's exhaust flue had been sealed off when the house was built, seven or eight years earlier. Every time the furnace ran, the combustion gases emptied into the attic, and the moisture had rotted the surrounding wood. Testing it for a few minutes was enough to feel sick. The attic was sealed from the living space, which is the only reason those gases hadn't reached the rooms. We shut off the gas and had the owner call a roofing company.
York 3-ton inverter system
A York 3-ton inverter system replacing a 2007 R-22 unit. Running, it's very quiet and draws only 3.1 amps.
Carrier high-efficiency furnace locked out by a dirty filter
The furnace wouldn't respond at all. It had overheated and the control board had locked out. The cause was a filter that hadn't been changed in two years.
Repairing a 20-year-old furnace near UCI
Third repair of the day, in the older neighborhoods near UCI. The furnace was about 20 years old. Older equipment is simpler by design, which makes it easier to repair.
Carrier furnace with a failed control board
The second Carrier furnace we repaired in the same Irvine community that day. The control board had failed: it cut power to the heating element the moment it was applied.
Warranty motor replacement on a 2020 Carrier
A 2020 Carrier unit with a failed motor. We filed the manufacturer warranty claim for the homeowner, which saved them $900 on the new motor. A licensed contractor can file that claim for you, and you get an original factory part.
Commercial AC maintenance at three businesses
Maintenance and inspection at three businesses in one day, including a server room's split system and an air purification system installed during the pandemic.
Inverter heat pump repair
Inverter heat pump repair in Lake Forest, including a new thermostat.
Lennox system with R-454B refrigerant
New Lennox system using the latest R-454B refrigerant, installed in Irvine. All equipment is bought directly from authorized dealers, so parts and warranty are covered.
6,800 sq ft home: four systems inspected
A 6,800 sq ft home with four central systems. We tested and inspected all four and gave the owner a repair-and-replace plan, on a rainy day.
20-year-old R-22 system replaced
A 20-year-old system on R-22 refrigerant that had leaked out. Repairing it would have cost too much, and other parts would likely have failed next. After talking it through with the owner, we replaced it with a new system on A2L refrigerant.
Eight systems, seventeen thermostats
A large home with eight central systems and seventeen thermostats. It took three hours just to work out which thermostat controlled which system. We replaced the zone control board and serviced the equipment.
Carrier furnace with a blocked condensate drain
A Carrier high-efficiency furnace in Rancho Cucamonga. The condensate drain line was blocked with silt, leaving the drain pan badly flooded. We found the cause straight away.
Full Lennox system replacement with city permit. Two days of meticulous work — we don't rush, we focus on every detail so homeowners enjoy 10–20 years of reliable comfort.
