The furnace wouldn't respond at all. It had overheated and the control board had locked out. The cause was a filter that hadn't been changed in two years.

5-ton heating and cooling replacement
5-ton heating and cooling replacement in Irvine. This homeowner came to us through a neighbor we had already worked for. A referral from a past customer is the best proof that the workmanship and attention to detail hold up.
New-build AC that kept tripping the breaker
A new home in Irvine's Great Park whose AC kept tripping. The day before, the company that installed the system added a hard-start kit. It lowered the start-up current, but the breaker tripped again ten minutes after they left. With a thermal camera we found the fault was the breaker itself: one point in the panel was running over 100°F while the AC drew a normal 12 amps. We replaced it and re-terminated the wiring. After ten minutes of running, that spot read about 91°F, the same as the rest of the panel.
